Pocket God: The Gem Of Life

Legend has it that a distant ancestor of the Pocket God pygmies had traveled to a mysterious island inhabited by giant monsters and savage beasts, returning with the Gem of Life after proving himself worthy to the gods. Ever since then, the pygmies have had a limitless life clock, dying daily, only to be reincarnated time after time. Now, as the otherworldly gem slowly runs out of power, the pygmies’ life clock ticks towards its inevitable end, forcing them to leave the relative safety of their own island in order to return the Gem of Life to the temple where it originated and redeem themselves in their gods’ eyes. Based on the bestselling iPhone app and written by Jason M. Burns, Pocket God features art by indie sensation Rolo.

This was a digital comic book series that made a few rounds in print for Ape Entertainment. At the time of its release, it was the best selling digital comic of all time, and we did about 30 issues of them. It was a lot of fun! You can track down print issues HERE.

Jericho: Season 3 (Civil War)

I co-wrote this series, collected here as a graphic novel, with the creators/writers of TV’s Jericho. It was eventually named to the New York Times Best Sellers List.

Continuing right where the Jericho Season 2 television cliffhanger ended! Jake Green and Robert Hawkins are in the safe haven of Texas with the last remaining bomb from the first attack. From amidst the chaos, they’re contacted by John Smith, the mastermind behind the first strike, seeking aid. As the Cheyenne army bears down on them, they must decide whether to side with their former enemy to fight a greater one…

This one is still available on Amazon, so give it a go HERE!

Sesame Street: Another Sunny Day

Many years ago I ran a line of Sesame Street comic books for Ape Entertainment, which is currently no longer publishing. I wrote and edited stories throughout these books, and it was a great experience working with Sesame Workshop.

What’s a picnic in the park without a packed basket? Cookie Monster doesn’t want to find out! So he’s got all his buddies looking for his missing snacks. You’ll find this giggly story, starring lots of favorite neighborhood friends, in issue #2 of this series of all-original Sesame Street comics. In more silly stories, Bert & Ernie face off in a paper airplane-flying contest, Super Grover learns that cooperation is key, and Abby Cadabby uses imagination (and magic!) to guess what’s for lunch. Plus…a page of tips for reading comics with kids.

You can still get these on Amazon, so check them HERE out while they are available!

A Dummy’s Guide To Danger

This was the first book I set up with a publisher and it is very special to me. It basically set me on my path.

Combining elements of humor, mystery and horror, private investigator Alan Sirois and his partner Mr. Bloomberg, a paraplegic ventriloquist dummy that Alan believes was shot in the back by an assailant and became crippled when the bullet lodged in his spine, track down a gruesome killer known only as the Flesh Collector.
